GROWING IN GRACE CHURCH
Standing Firm On The Word Of God
About us

1PE 2:9 “…so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light”

Growing In Grace Church was founded in 1991 with the objective of providing categorical Bible teaching and study materials without cost to those who desire them. As such, this ministry continues to exist due to the free-will offerings of believers who desire to be part of our outreach.

As a ministry of biblical truth, we are convinced that the Church has been given one mission … “make disciples” (MAT 28:19). Jesus' parting words to His disciples remain as the “guidon,” or battle flag, to which all true ministries must adhere. The task of disciple-making is achieved in three distinct actions: evangelism, edification, and equipping:

Evangelism. We believe in “teaching evangelism.” By this we mean that the most effective way to reach the lost is to teach about the Person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ as Redeemer and Savior through the work of His cross.

Edification. The New Testament epistles make it clear that “growing up” in the faith is primarily the result of a clear understanding of major Bible doctrines and their implementation in life. This results from a right relationship with God, maintained by surrendering to His indwelling Spirit and obedience to His Word. The Word of God provides the building blocks for the spiritual life.

Equipping. All Christians are called to be active participants in reaching the lost and building the faith of fellow believers. Each believer is spiritually gifted for a specific role in the body. To operate effectively in that gift, the believer must be given clear biblical instruction on how to fulfill his spiritual responsibilities. These include fellowship in a local church, prayer, giving, and service. Since the Bible is the final authority for all matters of faith and conduct, it becomes the text book for an active and productive Christian life.

In summary, the goal of Growing In Grace Church is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ by proclaiming His sacrificial death, burial, and resurrection. All doctrines in the New Testament compliment and perpetuate the work of the cross of Christ in our lives. To accomplish this goal, we rely on the Spirit of God to motivate the grace giving of believers whom God is pleased to make part of this effort. We will never solicit funds, nor will we operate this ministry beyond the time that our faithful Lord ceases to provide those funds. With the whole world as our arena, the Word of God as our authority, and the Holy Spirit as our guide, we are confident that we cannot fail!

Pastor Dominick Rodriguez

Living Grace Ministries in Tacoma, Washington ordained Pastor Dominick Rodriguez.

Born in New York but raised in Las Vegas, he comes from a diverse pre and post salvation background that included ritualistic Catholicism, a stint as a US Marine, involvement in various forms of martial arts, twenty two years as a career police officer (now retired in order to devote more time to his family and the ministry of Jesus Christ), street evangelist, youth minister, and now a full time Pastor.

From this there is a tremendous desire to lead the lost to Salvation and to equip those in his congregation to not only be prepared to fight the on-going Spiritual Battle, but to actually go into that Battle and come out Victorious. He believes that as believers we are called to much more than a simple routine of Christianity, but on to the victorious life that Christ has in store for us that we can accomplish as we grow and implement His Grace and His Word in our lives.

What We Believe:

How can I be saved? The Gospel

Salvation is the free gift of God provided to man by grace through faith in Christ Jesus (EPH 2:8-9). Simply believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the One who died for your sins, and you shall be saved! The work of salvation was finished for us at the Cross; we cannot earn it nor do we deserve it. Our Lord Jesus Christ paid the ultimate price by offering Himself as the propitiation for the sins of the world (that includes yours!). By grace, God provides eternal life to whoever will simply believe in His Son. “Believe on the Lord Jesus and you will be saved…” (ACT 16:31, JOH 3:16)

Once Saved, Always Saved. Eternal Security

Believers in the Lord Jesus Christ are kept secure forever. Once God the Father imputes His perfect righteousness to a believer at salvation, it can never be undone by anyone or anything. There is nothing you could ever do and no sin you could ever commit which would result in the loss of your salvation. God desires all believers to have personal assurance of their eternal security; this is truth that sets you free! (JOH 10:27-30; ROM 8:1; ROM 8:38-39; 1CO 1:4-8; 1TH 5:23-24; HEB 10:14).

Christ Died for All. The Unlimited Atonement

God freely offers salvation to everyone, not merely some of us. Through His spiritual death on the Cross, the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished the redemption of every man, woman, and child who ever was or will be born. God desires ALL men to come to a saving knowledge of the truth of the Gospel. The Lord Jesus Christ is the propitiation for the sins of the entire world. (1TI 2:3-5, 1JO 2:2; 2CO 5:19; 1PE 3:18)

Christianity is the opposite of Religion.

All religions have one thing in common; they’re man trying to impress God and earn salvation through his human works. On the other hand, Christianity is God seeking and saving man on the basis of what He’s done for us through his Son. God is the aggressor in establishing a relationship with man. He came down to us because we could never work our way back up to Him. Christianity recognizes that our old man can never be cleaned up, and instead teaches us how to put on the “new man” (COL 3:10) through the renewing of our minds (EPH 4:23).

Grace is undeserved favor from God

Grace is free, limitless, unmerited blessing to helpless, undeserving sinners from the loving God who is completely satisfied by the Person and Work of the Lord Jesus Christ (ROM 5:17-21; EPH 1:6-7) . Grace is God’s policy towards us and all that He is free to provide for us. Thankfully it’s not about what we earn and certainly not what we deserve (ROM 11:6). God’s Grace is abundant and He desires to shower us with it (EPH 2:7); it’s our job to simply say yes and receive His highest and best. God does all the work and we receive the benefits!

After Salvation, living the Spiritual Life

God desires everyone to be saved and come to an intimate knowledge of Him and His plan through the consistent intake, metabolization and application of his Word (1TI 2:3-4). The spiritual life can only be learned through consistent study of the Word taught by a prepared Pastor Teacher. As the growing believer is nourished by the Word, he will grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ and live the life God has called him to. (2PE 3:18)
